NOTICE TO ALL TAPONIT MEDITERRANEAN GETAWAY SWEEPSTAKES ENTRANTS (DATED: November 2, 2021):
When TapOnIt Deals launched the Mediterranean Getaway Sweepstakes on March 2, 2020, we never could’ve imagined how the world and our company would change in the following 18 months. Last November we extended the sweepstakes due to the travel ban and in hopes of things being back to normal in 2021, unfortunately that has not been the case.
TapOnIt Deals was created to help drive local shopping while providing people with great things to do, see, eat and buy in their communities. Our business revolves around restaurant, retail and entertainment businesses advertising to our audience. As you know, those industries were some of the hardest hit throughout the COVID-19 pandemic which meant that our main source of revenue basically dried up over the matter of just a few weeks. In June of 2021 we made the very difficult decision to shut down all of our TapOnIt Deals markets except for our hometown of the Quad Cities. We just couldn’t afford to continue operating that side of our business. Unfortunately, things have still not rebounded.
Circumstances for us and the world have changed so much since we launched our promotion. Given the persistence of the pandemic, continuing CDC warnings against travel to Greece and the devastating effect the pandemic has had on our business, we are extremely sad to announce that we are no longer in a position to complete our Mediterranean Getaway. As of November 2, 2021, the TapOnIt Deals Mediterranean Sweepstakes is officially canceled.
We know that many of you had high hopes for an amazing trip abroad and we are very sorry to disappoint you.

NOTICE TO ALL TAPONIT MEDITERRANEAN GETAWAY SWEEPSTAKES ENTRANTS REGARDING COVID-19 (DATED: November 27, 2020): After careful consideration and in light of the current safety concerns and other uncertainties created by the COVID-19 pandemic, TapOnIt has decided to make the following changes to its Mediterranean Getaway Sweepstakes:
- Travel must be completed between September 1, 2022 and October 31, 2022;
- We are giving the winner the option of substituting the prize package for $30,000 in cash;
- The entry period has been extended through December 31, 2021; and iv. The winner will now be announced by January 5, 2022.

HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY AND NO ENTRY FEE, PAYMENT OR PROOF OF PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE.
To enter you may use one of three methods. Limit one (1) entry per entrant, provided that entrants may receive additional opportunities to submit entries by sharing a unique URL provided by TapOnIt with friends who use it to enter the Sweepstakes. Entrant must comply with all applicable laws and third-party terms of use when sharing the URL. When sharing the URL, entrant must include a statement substantially similar to the following: “Help me earn an additional entry by using my link to enter the TapOnIt Mediterranean Getaway Sweepstakes.” Entrants will receive one (1) additional entry for every “Referred Entrant.” A “Referred Entrant” is an individual who is eligible for the Sweepstakes and submits a valid entry to the Sweepstakes by clicking the entrant’s unique URL. TapOnIt will text entrant when such entrant has received an additional entry. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated means are void.

The first method of entry requires you to text TAPONIT to 82928. You will be asked to enter your zip code and then will receive a thank you message with a link to an online form you must fill out to complete the entry. Stay tuned for great offers. Entry Method 2: Online
The second method requires you to fill out and submit the form found online at: www.texttaponit.com/getaway. Upon submitting the online form, you will receive a text from TapOnIt asking you to enter your zip code. You must respond with your zip code in order to complete the entry. Entry Method 3: Mail-in
For the third method of entry, legibly hand-print your full name, your complete valid postal address (including zip code), date of birth, telephone number, and valid e-mail address on a 3 1⁄2” x 5” card and mail it, in a #10 envelope with proper postage affixed, to:

Mail-in entries must be postmarked by the last day of the Entry Period and received by January 3, 2022 (“Mail-in Entry Deadline”). Postcards not received by the Mail-in Entry Deadline will be disqualified. The TapOnIt Parties assume no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, illegible, or postage-due entries or mail, all of which will be void. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. All entries become the property of TapOnIt, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of delivery.
ELIGIBILITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of TapOnIt as final and binding as it relates to the Sweepstakes.
You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for the Sweepstakes and a resident of one of the fifty (50) United States or District of Columbia
Employees of TapOnIt, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and promotional agencies, and immediate family members of each (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same households of such employees, whether related or not, are not eligible.
ENTRY PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins on Monday, March 2, 2020, at 12:00 AM CST and ends on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 11:59 pm CST. TapOnIt’s computer clock is the official timekeeping device of the Sweepstakes.
PRIZE: One (1) winner will receive a trip to Greece for winner and seven (7) guests. Must travel as a group of eight (8) or less. Trip must be scheduled for consecutive days and be completed between September 1, 2022, and October 31, 2022, subject to availability. The prize package will consist of:
- Round trip coach class air transportation for winner and seven (7) guests from the major hub airport nearest to winner’s home to Athens, Greece (approximate retail value (“ARV”) $8,000); • Up to four (4) standard rooms (double occupancy) at Astir Palace Four Seasons Athens Marina, or equivalent, for two (2) nights, to bookend the yacht trip (ARV $4,000); • Five (5) days and four (4) nights aboard the Solaris Yacht for winner and seven (7) guests, crew, food, drinks, and fuel included while aboard the Solaris Yacht. The Solaris Yacht will be cruising to approximately three to five islands in the Aegean Sea, depending on weather (ARV $50,000);
- Round trip ground transportation for winner and seven (7) guests between the airport in Athens and the hotel (ARV $400); and
- Round trip ground transportation for winner and seven (7) guests between the hotel and Solaris Yacht (ARV $400).
The total aggregate ARV of the prize package is $63,000. The actual value of the prize depends on air transportation and hotel market conditions at the time of fulfillment. Any difference in value between the stated ARV and the actual value of the prize package will not be awarded.
The various elements of the prize will be as arranged by TapOnIt in its sole discretion. Other restrictions may apply. TapOnIt reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change the dates of travel. TapOnIt will notify the winner in the event of a change in itinerary.
It is the responsibility of the winner and his or her travel companions to obtain and possess all required travel documents, including without limitation a valid passport and any applicable visas. TapOnIt has no responsibility for lost, stolen, misplaced, or mutilated tickets and/or travel documents, baggage, flight delays, or any other occurrences beyond its control. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight, travel accommodations, or yacht passage. TapOnIt has no responsibility for a winner’s inability or failure to accept or use any part of the prize as described herein. The winner and his or her travel companions must travel on the same itinerary and must comply with all check-in requirements, including the presentation of a major credit card. Unused components of the prize package have no redeemable cash value. All airline tickets issued in connection with the prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles or upgrades and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Travel must be round-trip. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these Rules and those set forth by the travel prize suppliers, including but not limited to, the airline’s passenger ticket contract, and any other rules or restrictions as may be determined in the sole discretion of TapOnIt. FLIGHT TICKETS, GROUND TRANSPORTATION, HOTEL AND YACHT RESERVATIONS MUST BE ARRANGED WITH TAPONIT. ALL TRAVEL RESERVATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY AND TAPONIT’S APPROVAL. NO CHANGES ARE PERMITTED ONCE ANY TRAVEL RESERVATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE, EXCEPT WITH THE WRITTEN APPROVAL OF TAPONIT. ANY CHANGES WILL SUBJECT THE PRIZE TO FORFEITURE. If the winner is unable to use the prize during the time period determined by TapOnIt, the winner forfeits the prize in its entirety, and if time permits, TapOnIt will select a substitute winner at random from among all remaining eligible entries. If a winner is disqualified and there is no time to reasonably select a substitute winner, TapOnIt reserves the right not to select a substitute winner and to retain the related prize package. In the case of prize forfeiture, no further compensation is due to the winner from TapOnIt. The winner is responsible for obtaining travel insurance (and all other forms of insurance) at his or her option and hereby acknowledges that TapOnIt has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance.
The winner may elect to substitute the prize package for $30,000 in cash by notifying TapOnIt in writing of its election by January 12, 2022 (email to suffice). Otherwise, the right to receive the prize cannot be transferred, assigned, or redeemed for cash or another prize substitution, except at the sole discretion of TapOnIt. The prize is subject to availability. If a prize (or any part of the prize package) is unavailable, TapOnIt, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize or prize component with a prize or component of equal approximate retail value or specifications. All federal, state, and local taxes, fees, and surcharges, and taxes (whether foreign or domestic, and including income, sales, and import taxes) on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. All costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specifically provided herein are the responsibility of the winner.
As a condition of receiving the prize, the winner must timely sign and return any documents requested by TapOnIt, including but not limited to, an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability/publicity rights. Any person traveling as a guest of the winner must also execute a liability and publicity release and any other documents TapOnIt may require (or if the guest is a minor, the documents must be signed by the minor’s parent or legal guardian). The winner will be issued an IRS Form 1099 in the amount of the approximate retail value of the prize (as calculated by TapOnIt) and must provide TapOnIt with his/her valid Social Security Number or Taxpayer ID for tax reporting purposes. Noncompliance with the requirements of this paragraph will result in disqualification of the winner and the forfeiture of all interest in a prize.
ODDS OF WINNING: This is a game of chance. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: The winner of the Sweepstakes will be announced by January 5, 2022. Due to the number of entries, only the winner will be notified. The winner will be notified by phone and e-mail at the phone number and email address provided on the potential winner’s entry.
The potential winner’s right to receive the prize is subject to verification of eligibility, including verification of age and residency. TapOnIt also reserves the right to conduct a background check on any potential winner and his or her travel companions and reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any person and revoke any prize award based on the results of such background check if TapOnIt determines in its sole discretion that the award of a prize or prize-related benefits to such person might reflect negatively on TapOnIt or any other TapOnIt Parties or create an unacceptable security or liability risk.
If a potential winner is determined to be ineligible, is otherwise disqualified by TapOnIt, or does not respond to TapOnIt’s first attempted notification within 48 hours, TapOnIt reserves the right to disqualify that potential winner and, if time permits, select an alternate potential winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. If a potential winner is disqualified and there is no time reasonably to select a substitute winner, TapOnIt reserves the right not to select a substitute winner and to retain the related prize package.
PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, by entering any contest, you agree that TapOnIt, anyone acting on behalf of TapOnIt, or its respective licensees, successors and assigns will have the right, where permitted by law, without any further notice, review or consent to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use, worldwide in any media now known or
hereafter in perpetuity and throughout the world, your entry, including, without limitation, the entry itself and the winner’s name, biographical information, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image or statements made by the winner about the Sweepstakes, as news, publicity or information and for trade, advertising, public relations and promotional purposes without any further compensation to the winner.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree to release and hold harmless TapOnIt and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors (collectively, the “TapOnIt Parties”) from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) your participation in the Sweepstakes and/or your acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof, (ii) technical
failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the TapOnIt Sweepstakes; or (v) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries, including, without limitation, incorrect, delayed or inaccurate transmission, winner notifications, prize claims or other information or communications relating to the Sweepstakes, or the failure to capture or transmit any such information or any errors in these Rules. . In the event of any ambiguity or error(s) in these Rules, TapOnIt reserves the right to clarify or modify these Rules however it deems appropriate to correct any such ambiguity or error(s). If due to an error or for any other reason, more legitimate prize claims are received than the number of prizes stated in these Rules, TapOnIt reserves the right to award only one (1) prize from a random drawing from among all eligible claimants. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes (i.e., one prize package) be awarded.
LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT A PARTICIPANT, TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, TAPONIT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND PURSUE ALL OTHER REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
TapOnIt may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning the prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or any TapOnIt Parties.
YOU ALSO AGREE THAT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (I) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL YOU BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND YOU HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVE ALL RIGHT TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, AND/OR ANY RIGHT TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED, IN ANY ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED; AND (II) YOUR REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR YOUR OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES OF PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES (IF ANY).
TAPONIT’S RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: If the Sweepstakes is not capable of running or being fulfilled as planned for any reason, including without limitation, as a result of war, natural disasters or weather events, labor strikes, acts of terrorism, pandemic infection, or other force majeure event or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct and fulfillment of the Sweepstakes, TapOnIt reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or cancel the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, TapOnIt reserves the right to select a winner from a random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received as of the date of cancellation.
PRIVACY: Any personally identifiable information collected during an entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes will be collected and used by TapOnIt and its designees (i) for the administration and fulfillment of the Sweepstakes, (ii) as otherwise described in these Rules, (iii) as set forth in TapOnIt’s privacy policy available at https://taponit.com/privacy-policy/, and (iv) to send entrants TapOnIt newsletters and offers which may be of interest to the entrant.
To unsubscribe from TapOnIt’s commercial e-mail lists, use the unsubscribe link in any commercial e-mail message you receive.
Receipt of commercial communications from TapOnIt, including the receipt of any text messages or commercial e-mail messages, is not a requirement to participate in this Sweepstakes and will not affect your eligibility to win.
WINNER LIST: For the name of the winner, send an email to taponit@taponitdeals.com with “Mediterranean Getaway Winner List” in the subject line. Requests must be received no later than sixty (60) days after the end of the entry period.
